Brand strategy, naming, identity, and packaging design for consumer products, beauty, wellness, home goods, and the people bringing new things into the world.

There's often a gap between the business you see in your head and the brand the world experiences. We work with you to translate that vision into something your dream clients can experience, understand and want to be a part of.

You don't have much time to make an impression when someone's scanning a shelf or scrolling through products online. We think about what needs to stand out, what needs to be understood, and how to make your product recognizable without relying on the same visual cues as everyone else in your category.

Packaging might be the first thing someone notices, but it's not the only thing shaping their opinion. Your website, product photography, social presence, and even the little insert inside the box all contribute to the experience. We build brands that feel connected across those moments.

One product can turn into five. Five can turn into an entire collection. We think about that from the beginning, creating identity and packaging systems that can accommodate new products, variations, and opportunities without losing what makes the brand recognizable.
Early Object is a Minneapolis-based design studio working with ambitious founders to bring their vision to life in a brand experience that creates momentum and makes growth feel inevitable.
Ideally, before you've committed to packaging or started building your website. Establishing your positioning and identity early helps inform everything that follows, from how you communicate your product's value to what ends up on the label. You don't need every detail finalized, but the earlier we can be involved, the more intentional the result.
That's a big part of our process. We'll look at what's happening in your category, how competitors are presenting themselves, and where there's an opportunity to do something different. The goal isn't simply to create packaging that gets attention, but to communicate what makes your product worth choosing.
For sure! SKU design system strategy is a large part of our design process. So whether you're launching several SKUs or have them on your roadmap, we'll consider how each product can feel distinct while still remaining recognizable as part of the brand.
We can collaborate with your printer or manufacturer to prepare artwork, review production requirements, and help translate the design into a finished product. Printing and manufacturing costs are separate, and the level of vendor coordination will depend on your project scope.
